Criteo is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Sales Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa


  • The expansion of the Middle-East & Africa sales team is a reflection of how the Criteo footprint is increasing with major international brands.
  • This role involves a great deal of proactive outgoing sales activity (face to face) as well as active account management in the performance display space.
What will you be doing?
  • Prospect, penetrate and create new relationships with media agencies and direct clients across the Sub-Saharan Africa region
  • Manage your portfolio of partner relationships to grow revenues and margin
  • Identify and understand trends within industries, what makes a campaign successful and apply learnings to help generate further new business
  • Work incredibly smart to meet or exceed goals
  • Represent Criteo on trade fairs, conferences and events.
  • Acquiring and developing of Africa’s performance and media agencies and direct clients
  • Develop relationships at all levels from marketing executive to board director
  • Maximize customer retention through developing relationships with key accounts
  • Reach and exceed individual sales goals while contributing to overall team goals
Desired Skills and Experience
What do we need? 
  • 5 to 7 years digital media media sales experience and a minimum of 1 to 2 years performance marketing experience
  • Good face to face experience and network of local contacts
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the online advertising industry
  • Ability to work and deliver strong results in a dynamic small team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast moving company and industry
  • Knowledge of competing products is a plus
  • Desire to succeed.
  • Proven sales experience and strong track record of driving new business
  • Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to persuade at all levels of an agency or client
  • High levels of communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate about new media and how Criteo and personalised retargeted advertising can define new boundaries in the online advertising industry
  • Understand how the Criteo technology works and the ability to explain in every day terms to an agency
