Real Estate Comppany Job in Lagos for a Legal Executive-Real Estate

Job Title: Legal Executive-Real Estate

Location: Lagos 

Main Duties 
  • Act as primary administrative assistant to Legal department.
  • Coordinate and follow-up on routine legal matters.
  • Document control administration.
  • Ensure both internal and external resources respond in a timely fashion.
  • Respond to summons
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing all client and vendor contracts; interface with Contract Administration and Vendor Management areas.
  • Coordinate with Client Relations department for issues that impact clients.
  • Assist in preparation of annual financial reports, maintenance of corporate minute books and resolutions, and to secure loans.
  • Monitor and review government (state, federal and local) regulations to ensure the firm operates within the law.
  • Assist in development of corporate procedures to minimize legal risk.
  • Assist in preparation for corporate meetings, regulatory/client audits, closing hearings and trials.
  • Assist in investigation to ascertain facts of cases; ensure all relevant information is considered.
  • Identify appropriate laws, judicial decisions, legal articles and other materials relevant to assigned issues.
  • Prepare written reports for use in determining how cases should be handled and regulations or judicial decisions should be implemented.
  • Organize and track files of all case documents to make them easily available and accessible.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • LLB
  • Sound knowledge of the real estate industry
  • Candidates should be female
  • 2-4 years post-call experience
  • Msc or MBA will be added advantage
Skills:
  • Strong technical knowledge essential
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
  • Ability to utilize the Internet for research
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of litigation procedures a plus
  • Knowledge of basic real estate law including foreclosure, bankruptcy, consumer credit laws and regulations a plus
